4. Brendon McCullum
The Kiwi batsman has been renowned for his destructive batting at the top of the order. Once McCullum is in the groove, he can tarnish any bowling attack in the world. He has scored a total of 2754 runs in IPL history with a strike rate of above 130. His sensational knock of 158(73)* in the first ever IPL game was the highest individual score before Gayle pipped him in 2013.
While McCullum may have retired from international cricket three years ago, he has still been a relevant figure in different leagues across the world. The explosive opener was brought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 3.60 CR. The RCB already boasts of a strong batting lineup with batsmen like Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers and Quinton De Kock in their ranks. While he had a wonderful two-year stint with the Gujarat Lions, the 36-year-old may well call it a day after this season.
