One of the most important aspects of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the diversity of batting geniuses on display. From all across the globe, batsmen attempt to dictate terms to the equally skilful bowlers and make an effort to entertain in that process. However, what really makes these batsmen special is when they do it and how much of an impact they are able to create for their side.
While there are several old horses who have been doing that job for years, there are some special batsmen who may not boast of a lot of experience or a lot of game time but are capable of dictating terms just as well. The unearthing of talent in the IPL becomes successful when Indian uncapped players like the ones listed below slowly and steadily become stars for their teams.
Here are five uncapped batsmen who are stars for their team:
1. Nitish Rana
The 24-year-old from Delhi is not a revelation during his ongoing stint at Kolkata Knight Riders but was a batsman destined to do great things even during his time at the Mumbai Indians. In what has been a topsy-turvy campaign for KKR, Nitish Rana has held the spotlight for all the right reasons. Before the team began their campaign, the focus was on the U-19 players, the lack of experience, the change in captaincy and the dicey overseas players.
However, as the campaign progressed, the side managed to put together a Playing XI that was balanced in terms of experience and quality. One of the main reasons for that was how Rana kept the batting order together. He has only one score above 50 so far but does not let the numbers confused you, he is a star batsman for KKR and his 163 runs in six games show that. Although losing out on the consistency of late, Rana has the maturity to keep a rather explosive batting order in check with a calm head on his shoulders.
