IPL 2018: Former cricketers praise Mayanti Langer for her work during the tournament

The eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is done and dusted as the comeback franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were crowned the Champions. This year the cash-rich tournament witnessed a lot of changes including the introduction of the Decision Review System. But the major overhaul came in the form of change in the broadcaster. Star Sports covered the whole season impeccably well by roping in the best cricketers across the world and the show was hosted by the likes of Mayanti Langer, Jatin Sapru and a few others.

While Jatin took care of the show in Hindi, Mayanti hosted the pre and post-match show in English. She was part of the crew for almost all the matches and managed to cover the whole tournament while in the studio or in the Stadium at times. Many prominent cricketers were signed by the Star Sports as they had promised to take the game to a whole new level after bagging the rights last year. The analysis of the games and the cricketers was brilliant as the fans also loved their time watching it.

IPL goes on for almost 50 days and people working together get used to each other during this period. Covering such a huge tournament is not at all easy but the broadcaster had the best staff this time around who made it possible. One of them was Mayanti Langer who was absolutely brilliant and worked daily throughout the season along with the big names in the cricket. When you work together for such a long time, then surely you have some fun. Same happened with the team which covered the IPL this year.

The likes of Kevin Pietersen, Brett Lee, Dean Jones, Isa Guha and Anil Kumble have praised the beautiful and talented lady for being such a great host during the tournament. Mayanti impressed everyone with her knowledge about the game as well and was successfully able to shoulder the responsibility of hosting the show.
