Australian Aaron Finch had a rough start to this year’s IPL, registering two consecutive ducks in the first couple of matches for his new team Kings XI Punjab. After missing the first one because of his wedding to girlfriend Amy Griffiths in Melbourne, he joined the squad in the second match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He went in at one down in the fourth over but was soon sent back to the dressing room by a fiery Umesh Yadav.
In the next match against the Chennai Super Kings, the scenario did not change much, except this time the bowler was Imran Tahir. But in the clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, he seemed to have finally snapped out of the bad patch. He scored a quick 14 off 6 with one boundary and one into the crowds.
Even though the match was all about the thundering Gayle storm, his national teammate and ex-Kings Glenn Maxwell did not forget to congratulate him with a funny and quirky tweet on finally getting off the mark this season.
The post in Maxwell’s Twitter went: “Great to see @AaronFinch5 break the drought! he’ll smack’em from now on ? #hesoffandrunning #woof #dogga #gaylewasprettygoodtoo #emojis #hashtags #boredom”

The fans came up with some encouraging replies in the comments section as well as some quick repartee.
The day I didn't include him iny fantasy team is the day he finally scores. Maybe I was the one jinxing him! ?

It's good to watch Aaron finch last night. But the main hero of the match was Chris Gayle last night. He performed tremendously well. Congo to kxip. Best of luck for next matches.

Ironically, Aaron Finch has recently made yet another record which is a ‘little bit embarrassing’ for him in his own words, even more than back to back ducks. Including Kings XI Punjab this year, he has now played for seven franchises altogether – the only player in the history of IPL to do so.
However, as things stand, Preity Zinta, the team owner will certainly be pleased with the fact that Finch is en route to his best form.
