Australian big-hitting batsman Chris Lynn was bagged by Kolkata Knight Riders for a huge sum of 9.6 crores. He played for KKR in the last edition of <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/category/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IPL</a> as well. However, Lynn’s persistent injuries will remain a pressing concern for the franchise. In the last edition too, he missed a major chunk of the tournament owing to his shoulder injury.
Lynn had to undergo a shoulder re-construction operation last July and even looked in trouble during the ongoing <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/bbl-big-bash-league/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BBL</a>. Going ahead, KKR can only pray that the swashbuckling batsman stays fit for the IPL.

<h3>MI &#8211; Kieron Pollard &#8211; 5.4 crore </h3>

Delhi Daredevils thought they had bought Kieron Pollard for a bargain amount of Rs. 5.40 Cr and, coach Ricky Ponting was seemingly excited about the business. However, Mumbai came in and used the RTM card to bag him to their kitty. He was picked by Rajasthan Royals at a whopping price of Rs 12.5 crore, making him the highest paid overseas cricketer of IPL 2018. Coincidentally, Stokes was snapped up for a record price of Rs 14.5 crore in the last season of the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/category/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IPL</a> as well.
An iconic T20 player, the Englishman has a lot of experience under his belt. The inaugural champions are making a return to the fray after serving a two-year ban as they wish to forget their past horrors and start anew.

The Proteas batsman was retained prior to the auctions and RCB didn’t shy away from shelling a big amount for his services.
The camaraderie and teamwork between skipper Virat and AB de Villiers have been the backbone of the team for several seasons and they would want to keep it intact for the upcoming challenge as well.
