IPL 2018: Imran Tahir Junior tries to celebrate like his father
The junior Tahir emulated him perfectly and it did seem that the youngster is getting ready to step into his father’s shoes
The Chennai Super Kings returned to the IPL this year after a gap of two years. Their fans had been waiting to watch them in action since 2015. Their performances this year have been absolutely phenomenal and worth the wait for every Super King fan. In a humdinger contest in the first Qualifier, Faf Du Plessis’ innings took them to their seventh finals in the Indian Premier League history.
The team atmosphere has been splendid. The likes of characters such as Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, etc help in building a fantastic team environment. Imran Tahir is another person who grabs a lot of attention, particularly for his celebration after picking a wicket. Over the years, we’ve seen various jokes and memes being made on his celebratory run.
Earlier we had seen the whole CSK team joining Garcia’s birthday celebration. Suresh Raina had held a bash for his little daughter. Often we have witnessed Ziva Dhoni at the stadium. MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi have often posted her adorable videos on social media platforms.
However, the CSK social media team went a step ahead and asked his son Gibran to copy his father. The junior Tahir emulated him perfectly and it did seem that the youngster is getting ready to step into his father’s shoes. Overall, it portrayed the fun element that goes around in the Chennai franchise.
Here’s what Chennai Super Kings posted from their official handle on Twitter
“We asked Gibran what does his dad do when he takes a wicket and this is what happened! Don’t miss the fafulous slide in the presence of @ImranTahirSA and @faf1307 himself! #JuniorParasakthiExpress #WhistlePodu”
