With the Indian Premier League (IPL) just a few days away, the excitement is all building up. The teams will be looking to get their combinations right going into the tournament. While they are busy doing this, the new broadcaster Star India is telecasting a series of episodes for the show ‘Game Plan in your City’.

In this show, an expert panel will discuss the overall dynamics of an IPL team. The panel also includes one member from the current squad and they further interact with the fans as well. In Chennai leg of ‘Game Plan in your city’, cricketer Irfan Pathan shared some interesting facts about CSK‘s skipper MS Dhoni.

With MS Dhoni around, on-field entertainment is guaranteed!

Pathan recalled his Thalaiva Dhoni moment and put forward some interesting insights on the show. He said that the skipper is quite an interesting character on the field. When asked to share some anecdotes, the younger Pathan mentioned that there were various moments but he will not be able to share most of those as it wouldn’t ideally be suitable for the TV audience. He also remarked that the stump mic’s volume is quite high in the recent times and the viewers will be able to hear stuff much better.

Irfan said that it is really amusing listening to all that MS says. Particularly, he recalled one instance when Dhoni troubled S Sreesanth the most. He added that Sree always used to think about quite a few other things while he was on the field. So, MS wouldn’t miss this opportunity and get Sree back with a hilarious jibe.

Recalling one of those jibes, Irfan quoted MSD as saying, “Sree! Teri girlfriend bahar khadi nahi hai. Tu idhar dekh. Mein idhar khada hoon” meaning that ‘Concentrate here Sree! Your girlfriend isn’t waiting outside’.

Both the panel and the fans were clearly amused to recall these golden moments. Hemang Badani, who was also on the panel said that MS didn’t spare his own teammates either. He said that once while fielding, MS tried to signal one of the outfielders for a field change. Despite signalling twice, the person out there didn’t pay much of the heeds to the captain. So MS had to rely on his cheeky comments yet again.
