The Kings XI team management decided to persist with Bailey as their skipper for the eighth edition, after a staggering run in the previous edition of the IPL. But all the spectators and millions of fans of the franchise were left in a quite perplexing situation, looking at an absolutely clueless performance from the Kings. The same bunch of players who were going through the peak stages of their career in the previous year failed terribly and that brought the negativity and losing spirit into the dressing room.

Right-arm fast bowler Anureet Singh led the bowling attack by picking up 15 wickets in the season.
