IPL 2018: KKR overseas recruit thanks SRK for being an awesome owner
He thanked SRK for all the support that he extended in the last two months.
The 2018 edition of the IPL came to an end for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The two time champions lost the Qualifier 2 encounter against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Kolkata. After the defeat, the overseas star of the KKR camp, Chris Lynn, took to micro blogging site Twitter to thank the team management for their wonderful presence. Lynn’s remark came after the team co-owner Shah Rukh Khan had posted a message for the team.
The Bollywood actor had posted an update in which he hailed the team’s performance in the season. He went on to say that he is not disappointed and is very happy with the way his side fared up in the competition. He called the team to be an ‘awesome’ team.
Chris Lynn was quick to cite the tweet and wasted no time in commenting back on it. Lynn thanked SRK for all the support that he extended in the last two months. He remarked that there could be no better owner than the KKR owners. Also, he thanked the highly qualified KKR coaching staff in the tournament. Lynn promised to be back as a bigger and a stronger unit next season.
Here is what Chris Lynn had to say after KKR’s exit:
“Thank you for the last 2 months mate. Couldn’t ask for better owners in yourself and Jay and also the quality coaching and support staff we have onboard the KKR family. Will be back bigger and stronger,” Chris Lynn wrote in his tweet.
Commenting on the game, the Knight Riders looked well and truly in control of the run chase in the match. They were chasing 174 for the win and Lynn looked good for his 48. However, once the wicket of Lynn felt, the run chase came to a standstill. The wickets kept falling and the Knight Riders could only muster 160/9 in their stipulated 20 overs, and thereby losing the game by a margin of 13 runs.
