IPL 2018: KL Rahul loved watching Indian veteran's huge sixes

Despite Kings XI Punjab not making it to the playoffs, KL Rahul stood third in the most run-scorers list. He has had a brilliant IPL as he successfully provided his team quality starts throughout the tourney. Kings XI Punjab started off very well but couldn’t continue its momentum towards the second half of the tournament. On the other hand, there is Chennai Super Kings, they completely dominated all the other teams throughout the season.
Coming back into the IPL following a two-year ban, CSK made the most out of the opportunity. With Rayudu, Watson and Dhoni performing the CSK were unstoppable. They comfortably won the finale against Sunrisers Hyderabad and announced themselves as Champions. It was a splendid sight to most of the cricket fans to watch Dhoni lifting the trophy as a Captain.

In spite of the fact that the Karnataka batsman couldn’t see his team meet all requirements for the playoffs despite putting a solid exertion with the bat, he was to be sure upbeat for MS Dhoni – the returning Chennai Super Kings’ captain – to win the title once more. The young KXIP opener revealed his love of watching Dhoni hit those intense sixes, in spite of the fact that they do once in a while give heart assaults to the opposition.
“I always enjoy watching Mahi bhai bat on TV.. I enjoy it. The way he won matches was wonderful to see. It was great to see him back as captain and he won the IPL again. That speaks highly of him as a person and a leader. Absolutely enjoyed watching him hit those sixes. He gives a lot of heart attacks to the opposition which is good to see,” Rahul was quoted by India Today.
Satisfied with his own performance, says Rahul
Speaking of his form with the bat, Rahul said that he was satisfied with his own performance. Rahul scored 659 runs in 14 innings and stood third in the top run scorers list. “What can I say? Happy I performed well in the IPL. This was a big year for me. Every year is a big year. But it was a new franchise and it was a great experience overall. The two months we spent together – it was something very new. Coming from a different franchise was.. a very new experience,” the Indian batsman added.
