The Indian Premier League has completed ten years and is now into its eleventh season. Overall these years IPL has grown to become the most entertaining cricket league in the world. With over a sixty games each season involving world class players from all around the globe, the league promises an entertaining two months, every year. This year, the tourney started off with a thriller where Chennai Super Kings overpowered the defending champs, Mumbai Indians by one wicket.

The season kickstarted with a nailbiting thriller, as Bravo turned things around in just a matter of few balls. His impeccable batting towards the end made sure CSK came back into the game on a high note. Following the encounter between CSK and MI, it was a delightful Sunday with KXIP and KKR emerging as winners against Delhi Daredevils and RCB respectively. It is just three days into the tournament and already a lot of engaging encounters.

However, former Indian pacer, Sreesanth seems to have lost interest in the World’s most entertaining cricket tourney. Sreesanth who was banned due to his alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal has stopped watching cricket. The 35-year old also expressed his liking towards Test Cricket over the shortest format of the game. The aggressive fast-bowler also emphasized that his ban has no contribution towards him losing interest in the ongoing league.

Lost interest in IPL – Sreesanth:

“I am (now) not a huge fan of IPL in particular but love to follow the Test matches. I love to watch club matches. I have not been following IPL matches and don’t wish to watch all matches. I have lost interest and if time permits, will watch matches only involving my state players. Basically, I love to see my Kerala state cricketers doing well in the matches,” the former Kochi Tuskers player was stated as quoted by Deccan Chronicle.

“The ban slapped on me by the Indian cricket board is not the reason for losing interest in the IPL. Yes, I am sad but now we have to move on. They (the BCCI officials) are busy on their own and I am busy with my own work. I am being banned to practice at the international grounds controlled by the BCCI, but I practice at my own ground and I am happy with it,” Sreesanth added.

His career as an actor:

Speaking of his acting career, Sreesanth mentioned that he has a very busy schedule. “I remain very busy with my own commitments, my own work and schedules and spending quality time with the family. I do a lot of yoga exercises, play badminton. I have done Kerala, Malayalam and Kannada movies. The shooting for the next movie will commence next month,” he concluded.

Sreesanth played his last T20 against Kings XI Punjab in 2013. The right-arm fast bowler has featured in 60 T20s and picked 59 wickets. He also was a part of the winning team in the T20 World Cup 2007.
