IPL 2018: Match 10, KKR vs SRH - Weather Forecast
Will rain have the final say in this game?
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host the rampant Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Eden Gardens in the 10th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The home side is coming off a heartbreak at Chepauk in the last over as their opponents have won in the similar situation and would be riding high on confidence. Though it would be hard for the Orange Army to breach the fortress even as the heavens are set to open up and interrupt the clash of the Titans on the weekend.
A lot has been said about his captaincy in the last two games, but Dinesh Karthik has impressed many while leading one of the most followed franchise. He has come up with surprising decisions which has caught the opposition off guard at times. It’s important for him to stay in the same vein and do not let his emotions get better of him during the course of the tournament. Kane Williamson, on the other hand, has quietly gone about his business while at the helm and has looked calm and composed.
Bad news for the fans
According to Accu Weather, the climate is not at all conducive for cricket as there are thunderstorms expected around 3 PM as the heavens might open up from 1 PM itself. Though the rain will decrease in the lead up to the game, it is expected to return the whole evening and will interrupt the game big time. At 7 PM there are once again thunderstorms and the chances of rain are around 51 percent as one can only hope that the match doesn’t get washed out.
Though there are fewer chances of rain later in the night, the chances hover around 30-40 percent throughout which means we might be in for a long day at Eden Gardens.
Overall Verdict: It will be a shortened game between KKR and SRH and both the teams would be expecting the same. It will be interesting to see if a 5-over shootout takes place given the chances of rain in the evening.
