Being an RCB fan is a one really hard job. Even when their team is not playing and the contest is between some other two teams, it’s the RCB fans only who start getting trolled out of nowhere and they can’t really blame anyone for that except their own franchise.

The RCB franchise has made so many bad decisions in terms of their selections over the years, whether it’s about buying the players in the auctions or retaining them ahead of the auctions, that they have turned themselves into a perfect troll material for social media.

Yesterday was no different as Chris Gayle, one of RCB’s former players whom they had the opportunity to retain earlier this year but they let go, wreaked havoc playing for his new team Kings XI Punjab against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali and smashed the first hundred of this year’s tourney.

It was carnage on Twitter after that Gayle 100 as the RCB fans had to cope some brutal trolling from the fandoms of all the other teams. There were plenty of memes shared mocking RCB for their hilarious decision of releasing somebody of the caliber of Gayle despite knowing what he can do on his day, even after passing his prime.

Meanwhile, the Kings XI Punjab’s owner Preity Zinta who bought Gayle in the very last moments of the auction received accolades from the Twitterati who thought it was a masterstroke to go for the Caribbean big hitter when no franchise showed interest in him thinking he wouldn’t be able to contribute as effectively as he had done in the past.

This was the second consecutive game in which Gayle played an impact knock for Punjab at the top of the order. His brisk half-century against Chennai had proven to be a match-winning knock as well. Preity Zinta & Co. would hope the Universe Boss keeps going like this the whole tourney and paves the way for their first ever IPL triumph.
