IPL 2018: Match 26, DD vs KKR - Weather Forecast
Will Shreyas Iyer be able to turn around the fortunes of his team?
The troubled Delhi Daredevils (DD) will host the rejuvenated and fresh Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 26th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Both the teams are in need of a victory but the hosts need it more than anyone else as they are languishing at the bottom of the points table and to make things worse, their skipper Gautam Gambhir has also stepped down from captaincy. However, before thinking of getting past the KKR side, it is important for DD to care about the weather which has been unpredictable so far.
Shreyas Iyer will take over the mantle from Gambhir now and will have to produce results straightaway. It is important for him to first earn the faith and respect of his teammates after which the team will start gelling well together. Dinesh Karthik and his team will be refreshed after a considerable break. They will be eager to hit the straps and get back the winning momentum again. The tournament is moving forward faster than ever and the race to qualify for the playoffs has started now.
How’s the weather in Delhi?
According to Accu Weather, it is sunny and hot currently in the capital city of India with the temperatures hovering around 41 Degree Celsius. It will continue to be the same way in the lead up to the game as well. The summer season has settled down in Delhi and there are no chances of rain at all in the city. It will get hazy by the time the match starts around 8 PM but the temperatures will remain in the late 30s. The heat is likely to take a lot out of the players and they might get dehydrated too.
Also, there will be a fair amount of dew which will settle in and it will only get difficult for the bowlers to ball their slower ones and yorkers.
Overall Verdict: The jam-packed crowd of Ferozshah Kotla Stadium in Delhi will witness the full action of 40 overs and the heavenly gods will not make its presence felt.
