IPL 2018: Match 42, DD vs SRH- Weather Forecast
The Daredevils have lost their erstwhile match against SRH.
As far as the league table is concerned the battle between the Delhi Daredevils (DD) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is a contest between two of the most contrasting teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While SRH is sitting pretty at the top of the table with eight victories, Shreyas Iyer’s men are languishing at the bottom of the points table with three wins.
However, the venue for today’s match is the Feroz Shah Kotla where the home-team has done reasonably well. Iyer’s appointment as the captain has changed the complexion of their unit. The likes of Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant and the skipper have been stupendous at the top of the order. Their bowlers have done decently as well but need to provide more assistance to the batsmen.
Sunrisers, led by Kane Williamson, have had an inspirational journey thus far in the tournament. They possess the deadliest of bowling combinations, which have won them quite a few games. Also, their batsmen have stepped up in the hour of need and that has ensured that the Orange Army doesn’t stutter at any stage of the cash-rich T20 league.
No chances of rain
Delhi has four matches remaining in their kitty from which they need to churn out full points. Rain might play spoilsport to their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. Nevertheless, there are no chances of a downpour throughout the day, which comes as a good news for the Daredevils. During the match, the temperature would hover around 28 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius.
Overall verdict
The pitch at the venue has favoured the batsmen to a significant extent and today it’s not expected to be any different. However, the task for DD won’t be a cakewalk against the bowling line-up which boasts of the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and Siddarth Kaul.
