Teams and fans across any sport possess a symbiotic relationship between them. It’s the fans who make sure to get behind the team every time it falters, while the players find a morale boost to replicate success for their supporters.

Similarly, during RR’s previous fixture against SRH, a super fan was present in the stands. It was none other than Ram Charan Chauhan, the man who holds the world record for the longest moustache ever. His moustache measured 4.29 m (14 ft) at the time of creating a world record in 2010.

The 58-year-old is famous in the western part of India and his presence in the Rajasthan Royals camp must have boosted their morale. He was decked up well in a royal attire. The man with such global recognition was spotted at the fixture which was being played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Being an ardent cricket fan, Chauhan was cheering for the Royals from the dugout during the first innings.

Later, JK Lakshmi Cement, which is one of the sponsors of the Royals took to their official Twitter handle and posted a picture of this super fan.The post read, “Look who is in the stadium supporting @rajasthanroyals. Ram Singh Chauhan, the man who holds the record for the longest moustache! Mooche ho toh Ram Singh Chauhan jaisi warna na ho!”

Match Details

SunRisers Hyderabad once again produced a bowling masterclass defending a paltry target of 151 runs to defeat Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs. Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane remained unbeaten on 65 runs but couldn’t take his team towards victory. Sanju Samson (40) supported his skipper but a lack of partnerships after his dismissal saw the hosts falter as they failed to achieve the target.

Earlier, a stellar bowling display in the final overs by Rajasthan helped them restrict SunRisers to 151/7. Krishnappa Gowtham gave Rajasthan a solid start after dismissing Shikhar Dhawan for six runs in the third over. After his dismissal, SRH skipper Kane Williamson continued his fine form with a well scripted 63. He was ably supported by Alex Hales (45) to help his team post a decent total.
