The auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was done and dusted in December 2018 and all the franchises have settled with their squads. Though they were given the option of retaining their core members before the event and were also allowed to use maximum 3 Right to Match (RTM) cards. While some of the teams went with the obvious choices of players, few decided to revamp their side completely in order to change their fortunes in the tournament. However, the overhauling of squads will also have a huge impact on the fan following of the teams on social media.

The 12th edition of the cash-rich T20 league has been going on. Ever since the inception of the IPL, all the teams have formed their official accounts on social media to keep their fans updated with the happenings regarding their team, may it be the team announcements, injury updates or new signings.
