Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is ruling the initial stages of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) by winning the ever so close matches. Their return to the tournament has been nothing less than a fairytale and even the players have been emotionally attached. During their last match, Faf du Plessis was seen carrying drinks for his teammates which won the hearts of many. Pragyan Ojha was no different to it as he lauded the down to earth attitude of the cricketer from the rainbow nation.
Du Plessis is recovering from the finger injury which has troubled him throughout the home summer of South Africa but is confident of featuring for CSK soon. Even the batting coach of CSK Michael Hussey was upbeat about his return for their next game against Kings XI Punjab which will be played on April 12 in Mohali. Meanwhile, he was seen helping his teammates with the drinks selflessly at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday during their match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Ojha hails South African skipper
Pragyan Ojha was in awe of Faf du Plessis after he saw the latter carrying the drinks for his teammates despite being the captain of his national team. He took to the microblogging website Twitter and lauded the simplicity of Du Plessis while also mentioning that CSK is an emotion to each one of their players.
“Humility is the greatest attribute. Captain of @OfficialCSA helping his teammates with water, when not in action. Love his simplicity and attitude. @faf1307 #lottolearn @ChennaiIPL #ItsNotATeamItsAnEmotion,” Ojha tweeted for him.
As far as the match is concerned, CSK pulled off yet another thriller on the night as they gunned down the target of 203 runs with one ball to spare. While It was Andre Russell’s one-man show for KKR, CSK won with the brief but crucial contributions from Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu and Sam Billings who eventually awarded Man of the Match.
