IPL 2018: Rashid Khan 'really pleased' to win the man of the match in his 100th T20 game
Rashid has continued to remain the mystery for the batsmen all over the world.
Rashid Khan became the youngest cricketer to play 100 matches in the shortest format of the game on Saturday when he played against Delhi Daredevils (DD). He also bagged the Man of the Match award for his impeccable spell of 2/23 which helped Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) restrict the visitors to a decent total of 164 runs while batting first. However, the leggie from Afghanistan has come up with a tweet for his fans and has thanked them for all the love they have showered on him during his career so far.
Rashid has become a sensation ever since making his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last year and went on to ply his trade in the T20 Leagues around the world as well. He didn’t disappoint in any of the tournaments and kept on climbing the ladder of success. Interestingly, despite playing so many matches over the year, he still remains the mystery bowler and the batsmen are still finding it tough to pick him.
Rashid tweets
Rashid Khan was happy after winning the Man of the Match award in his landmark T20 game and thanked his fans for all the support. “Really pleased and happy to get MAN OF THE MATCH in my 100. T20s Match .thanks you each and every one of my fans for their support and love,” he tweeted. Sunrisers clinched the thrilling game in the last over by courtesy Yusuf Pathan who blazed away after coming in to bat in the dying stages of the game.
But they were chasing only 164 was due to the efforts of their bowlers in the second half of the innings. At the half-way stage, Delhi had raced to 95 runs but the strongest bowling attack came back then and were led by Rashid Khan who bowled superbly by picking the key wickets of Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant.
