KKR’s team officials must have had a few worrisome nights because of the shoulder dislocation their middle-order batsman Chris Lynn sustained back in February in the T20 series against New Zealand.

However, medical reports said that he did not need a surgery. So after a month’s rest, the Aussie is back on the field with his IPL franchise KKR. He was seen swinging the bat comfortably at their home ground Eden Gardens, as the team got ready for a practice match on Monday.

To recover faster and get into a better shape, Lynn practiced every day back at his home in Queensland wearing a specially-designed shoulder stabilizer device that was given to him by Rugby League star Johnathan Thurston. Hid medical team was satisfied with his progress and announced him fit for the IPL.

“The docs and the physios are happy so that’s all I can do Fingers crossed I can keep going in the right direction,” Lynn said while speaking to Cricket Australia. “I’m doing everything I can to get back out there.”

With his return, KKR finally gets to cherish some good news, especially after a bone fracture in the right leg ruled out their key pacer Mitchell Starc from the tournament. Even though the team signed 23-year-old English medium pacer Tom Curran as his replacement, fans are more excited to see veteran speedster Mitchell Johnson in action. Both Johnson and Lynn joined the team only 24 hours ago.

The fan favourite Sunil Narine was also seen at the practice session with leggies Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav. This is yet another bit of good news, because earlier in March during the Pakistan Super League, Narine got reported for questionable bowling action. Considering his earlier history of the ban, match officials will probably keep an eye out for his actions.
