IPL 2018: Sunrisers Hyderabad to continue their association with RED FM

Red FM has been a sponsor of SRH since their introduction into the IPL.

Sunrisers Hyderabad came into being in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when the Deccan Chargers were dissolved after the 2012 season. The franchise has had a decent run thus far, having won the championship once in 2016 under the captaincy of David Warner. The team had 93.5 Red FM as the official sponsors for the erstwhile five seasons.

The radio station is set to be their sponsor for the sixth straight season. They will conduct contests, distribute tickets and arrange other engagements with their fans. Meanwhile, the brand will again be seen on SRH’s jersey. Nisha Narayanan, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Red FM, sounded delighted on their association with SRH.

“At Red FM, sports is an important strategic pillar and it is our constant endeavour to associate with leading sporting events and players. We are extremely excited to associate Sunrisers Hyderabad for the sixth time in a row,” Narayanan mentioned in a recent interaction with the media.

Meanwhile, the brand is also associated with other teams and can be seen on jerseys of theirs as well. “We are in fact the only media brand across the country to be on the jersey of any IPL team and in fact we have the most premium jersey position. i.e. the front chest. Cricket is no doubt a religion in India and the team’s motto ‘Rise Up To Every Challenge’ goes with our brand’s persona.” she added.

Sunrisers had an indifferent season last time around. They managed to win eight out of their 14 games and qualified for the playoffs. However, Their journey was halted when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the rain-curtailed Eliminator at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The franchise has also been dealt with a body blow with the suspension of David Warner.
