The Mumbai Indians entered the week in a rather precarious situation. They found themselves in a situation from where they have to win every game in the league stage. In the recent week, they managed to do so by registering two crucial wins. And the man who lifted their spirits by pulling of the first win in the week was Rohit Sharma.

Playing against the Chennai Super Kings, the Men in Blue were asked to chase 170. After a decent start, the run chase started to choke. But Rohit ensured that his unbeaten 56 off 33 deliveries did not go in vain and stood till the very end at the crease to win the match for his side. He played a similar role in the match against the Kings XI Punjab.

Suresh Raina is coming good for the Chennai Super Kings in this IPL. He has always been a top performer but many had reservations about his form in the season. He shut all his critics with consistent batting this week.

Playing against the Mumbai Indians, Suresh Raina smashed an unbeaten 75 off just 47 deliveries with 6 fours and 4 sixes to his name. Also, in the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he scored a valuable 31 in the middle overs. The veteran campaigner was unfortunate to have been in the losing side on both occasions.
