6. Hardik Pandya – Mumbai Indians
Hardik Pandya was under the scrutiny for having underperformed in the first half of the IPL 2018. Neither did he click with the ball, nor did the fans get to see the big sixes coming in from his willow. But in the recent week of the season, Hardik Pandya came really good with both bat and the ball.
He played a couple of handy cameos with the bat in the last week including an unbeaten 35 against the Knight Riders. He backed it up figures of 2/19 in the game. In the reverse fixture, he again scalped 2/16 and was the Purple Cap holder in the previous week.
7. K Gowtham – Rajasthan Royals
K Gowtham is proving to be an absolute superstar in the making. Gowtham had warmed the bench for the Mumbai Indians for the entire season last year. This year, he finally got his chance and he is making it count big time. He has been performing well with both bat and the ball.
In the previous week in the tournament, he scalped 2/12 in the match against the Kings XI Punjab. His efforts pushed the Kings right on the backfoot in the game. More recently, in the match against the Chennai Super Kings, he hammered a quick 13 of just 4 balls to change the course of the run chase. He had hit two match winning sixes in the short cameo that he played.
