The consistent run of the Sunrisers Hyderabad saw them surge to the top of the points table. Furthermore, the defending champions Mumbai Indians have started blooming big time as well.

They have moved to the top four in the points table with their consistent run. KL Rahul has been the most successful batsman for the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2018. In the past week, Rahul missed out on his century twice. And on both occasions, the bowlers at the receiving end were the Rajasthan Royals bowlers.

In the game at Indore, Rahul remained unbeaten on 84 off 54 deliveries to steer his side to a 6 wicket win. In the reverse fixture at Jaipur, the hard hitting <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2018-match-40-rr-vs-kxip-review-rahul-marches-on-but-royals-avenge-defeat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>opener was left stranded on 95</strong></a> off 70 deliveries as his team fell short by 15 runs in the run chase. He is certainly looking like a top contender for the Orange Cap this season.

The Rajasthan Royals have managed to keep their hopes alive in the season. The chief architect of their resurgence or the major savior of their fortunes in the recent week has been Jos Buttler. The English cricketer has struck sublime form as the tournament has entered the final stage of the game.

Buttler has hit four consecutive fifties in the season and looking good for more. Ever since his promotion at the top of the order. Buttler has not looked down one bit. He recently scored a brilliant unbeaten 95 against the Chennai Super Kings to win the game for his side. Prior to that, he had hit consecutive fifties in the two matches against the Kings XI Punjab.

3. Kane Williamson (c) &#8211; Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Sunrisers Hyderabad are on a merry roll this season. They recently became the first side to make it to the playoffs of the 2018 edition of the IPL. Everytime one talks about the Sunrisers, they talk about their bowling. But very few have noticed that they have been quietly charging with the at as well.

They have been ably led by Kane Williamson in the batting order. Williamson scored an unbeaten 83 in the runchase of 187 against the Delhi Daredevils recently. Prior to that, he also scored a valuable 56 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Hyderabad.

The week that passed by in the IPL was all about the Mumbai Indians. The defending champions have come up with herculean efforts to stun the other teams in the competition. They have managed to escalate to the top four in the points table and are now back in the contention for the playoffs.

One of the key contributors of their success has been Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar Yadav has consistently given brisk starts to the Mumbai Indians in the tournament. Hard-hitting Delhi Daredevils batsman Rishabh Pant took the IPL world by storm this week. He became the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2018-scared-reached-97-reveals-rishabh-pant/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>second youngest cricketer to score an IPL hundred</strong></a>. Also, he became the youngest cricketer to cross the 1000-run mark in the tournament. He smashed an unbeaten 128 off just 63 deliveries in the clash against the Sunrisers.

His whirlwind knock fetched him praises from all corners of the cricket fraternity. Also, with the knock, he stamped his authority on the Orange Cap in the tournament. It is only unfortunate that the fans will not get to see him in the playoffs since the Daredevils are already out of the race.

Hardik Pandya was under the scrutiny for having underperformed in the first half of the IPL 2018. Neither did he click with the ball, nor did the fans get to see the big sixes coming in from his willow. But in the recent week of the season, Hardik Pandya came really good with both bat and the ball.

He played a couple of handy cameos with the bat in the last week including an unbeaten 35 against the Knight Riders. He backed it up figures of 2/19 in the game. In the reverse fixture, he again scalped 2/16 and was the Purple Cap holder in the previous week.

K Gowtham is proving to be an absolute superstar in the making. Gowtham had warmed the bench for the Mumbai Indians for the entire season last year. This year, he finally got his chance and he is making it count big time. He has been performing well with both bat and the ball.

In the previous week in the tournament, he scalped 2/12 in the match against the Kings XI Punjab. His efforts pushed the Kings right on the backfoot in the game. More recently, in the<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2018-match-43-rr-vs-csk-review-jos-buttler-single-handedly-keeps-the-royals-alive-in-the-tournament/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong> match against the Chennai Super Kings</strong></a>, he hammered a quick 13 of just 4 balls to change the course of the run chase. Mujeeb ur Rahman is one of the most impressive young cricketers in the IPL this season. Rahman has featured in every game for the Kings XI Punjab in the tournament and has looked very good with the ball. He has been a key part of the KXIP resurgence in the season. In the recent week, Mujeeb continued his good work with the ball.

In the match against the Rajasthan Royals, he scalped 3/27 to break the back of the Royals innings. He was the top performer for his side with the ball. In the other game against the Royals in Jaipur, he again finished with highly economical numbers of 2/21 in the four overs that he bowled.

9. Ravindra Jadeja &#8211; Chennai Super Kings

When the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League had reached the half way stage, a lot of people questioned the place of Ravindra Jadeja in the team of Chennai Super Kings. The CSK skipper, MS Dhoni, did not give Jadeja his complete quota of overs, neither did the southpaw get a lot of opportunities with the bat. But as the tournament progressed, Jadeja started getting a bigger role to play in the matches for the Super Kings.

In the previous week of the tournament, he came up with his best performance in the tournament. Jadeja scalped 3/18 in the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Rajasthan Royals have found a very good spinner in Ish Sodhi. The Kiwi leggie has not only been containing the run flow in the middle overs, but also been chipping in with crucial wickets. In the recent against the Chennai Super Kings, he returned with figures of 1/29 in his quota of four overs.

This included the big wicket of Suresh Raina, who was looking set for  big score in the match. In the game that preceded the match against the Super Kings, Sodhi had returned with phenomenal numbers of 1/14 against the Kings XI Punjab in Jaipur.

<p>Mujeeb ur Rahman is one of the most impressive young cricketers in the IPL this season. Rahman has featured in every game for the Kings XI Punjab in the tournament and has looked very good with the ball. He has been a key part of the KXIP resurgence in the season. In the recent week, Mujeeb continued his good work with the ball.</p>
<p>In the match against the Rajasthan Royals, he scalped 3/27 to break the back of the Royals innings. He was the top performer for his side with the ball. In the other game against the Royals in Jaipur, he again finished with highly economical numbers of 2/21 in the four overs that he bowled.</p>

<p>When the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League had reached the half way stage, a lot of people questioned the place of Ravindra Jadeja in the team of Chennai Super Kings. The CSK skipper, MS Dhoni, did not give Jadeja his complete quota of overs, neither did the southpaw get a lot of opportunities with the bat. But as the tournament progressed, Jadeja started getting a bigger role to play in the matches for the Super Kings.</p>

The teams are desperate to bag the final points to squeeze their way through to the playoffs of IPL 2018. In the recently concluded week of the tournament, a lot of things churned up and down in the points table.</p>
<p>The consistent run of the Sunrisers Hyderabad saw them surge to the top of the points table. With their <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2018-match-42-dd-vs-srh-review-pantastic-knock-couldnt-save-delhi-elimination/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>recent win against the Delhi Daredevils</strong></a>, they have managed to qualify for the playoffs. At the same time, the defeat in the very same game has ensured that the Daredevils will not make it to the final four this year. Furthermore, the defending champions Mumbai Indians have started blooming big time as well.</p>

<p>KL Rahul has been the most successful batsman for the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2018. In the past week, Rahul missed out on his century twice. And on both occasions, the bowlers at the receiving end were the Rajasthan Royals bowlers.</p>
<p>In the game at Indore, Rahul remained unbeaten on 84 off 54 deliveries to steer his side to a 6 wicket win. In the reverse fixture at Jaipur, the hard hitting <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2018-match-40-rr-vs-kxip-review-rahul-marches-on-but-royals-avenge-defeat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>opener was left stranded on 95</strong></a> off 70 deliveries as his team fell short by 15 runs in the run chase. <p>The Rajasthan Royals have managed to keep their hopes alive in the season. The chief architect of their resurgence or the major savior of their fortunes in the recent week has been Jos Buttler. The English cricketer has struck sublime form as the tournament has entered the final stage of the game.</p>
<p>Buttler has hit four consecutive fifties in the season and looking good for more. Ever since his promotion at the top of the order. Buttler has not looked down one bit. He recently scored a brilliant unbeaten 95 against the Chennai Super Kings to win the game for his side. Prior to that, he had hit consecutive fifties in the two matches against the Kings XI Punjab.</p>

<p>The Sunrisers Hyderabad are on a merry roll this season. They recently became the first side to make it to the playoffs of the 2018 edition of the IPL. Everytime one talks about the Sunrisers, they talk about their bowling. But very few have noticed that they have been quietly charging with the at as well.</p>
<p>They have been ably led by Kane Williamson in the batting order. Williamson scored an unbeaten 83 in the runchase of 187 against the Delhi Daredevils recently. Prior to that, he also scored a valuable 56 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Hyderabad. </p>

<p>The week that passed by in the IPL was all about the Mumbai Indians. The defending champions have come up with herculean efforts to stun the other teams in the competition. They have managed to escalate to the top four in the points table and are now back in the contention for the playoffs.</p>
<p>One of the key contributors of their success has been Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar Yadav has consistently given brisk starts to the Mumbai Indians in the tournament. <p>Hard-hitting Delhi Daredevils batsman Rishabh Pant took the IPL world by storm this week. He became the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2018-scared-reached-97-reveals-rishabh-pant/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>second youngest cricketer to score an IPL hundred</strong></a>. Also, he became the youngest cricketer to cross the 1000-run mark in the tournament. He smashed an unbeaten 128 off just 63 deliveries in the clash against the Sunrisers.</p>
<p>His whirlwind knock fetched him praises from all corners of the cricket fraternity. Also, with the knock, he stamped his authority on the Orange Cap in the tournament. It is only unfortunate that the fans will not get to see him in the playoffs since the Daredevils are already out of the race.</p>

<p>Hardik Pandya was under the scrutiny for having underperformed in the first half of the IPL 2018. Neither did he click with the ball, nor did the fans get to see the big sixes coming in from his willow. But in the recent week of the season, Hardik Pandya came really good with both bat and the ball.</p>
<p>He played a couple of handy cameos with the bat in the last week including an unbeaten 35 against the Knight Riders. He backed it up figures of 2/19 in the game. In the reverse fixture, he again scalped 2/16 and was the Purple Cap holder in the previous week.</p>
