IPL 2018: Yet another fan touches MS Dhoni's feet
A fan sneaked into the field and fell to touch the feet of MS Dhoni.
MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings to their seventh victory in ten matches, as the opponent Royal Challengers Bangalore succumbed to a meagre total of 127. Coming out to bat in the 12th over with only 50 runs left to score, MS Dhoni stayed till the end and made sure that his team sealed another victory. This win took CSK to the top of the table with 14 points from 10 matches.
After Dwayne Bravo finished the match with a single off Chahal, and the players were shaking hands and exchanging words, a fan sneaked into the field and fell to touch the feet of MS Dhoni. This is quite a deja vu for CSK fans because only in the last game against KKR at Eden Gardens, another such fan had breached through the security to touch the captain’s feet while he was busy discussing something in the dugout.
On both occasions, the fans were wearing the yellow jersey like CSK players wear, with the name ‘Dhoni’ and the number 7 on the jersey’s back. Also on both occasions, captain cool reacted to the situation with utmost calmness. In the RCB match, the encounter with the fan happened when he was busy taking off his batting gloves after the match was won. Like every other occasion before this, MS Dhoni simply patted the fan’s back in return.

Match details
As far as the match is concerned, it was too easy a win for a team which has chased down 200+ targets. RCB’s batting lacked in the firepower, and both their main batsmen failed to deliver on the pitch. Kohli got out only at 8, while AB de Villiers contributed just one run. The spin attack of CSK was too much for the RCB batsmen to deal with.
Ravindra Jadeja did most of the job by picking up captain Kohli, Mandeep Singh and their highest scorer Parthiv Patel (53). He was announced the Man of the Match in the post-match presentation for his 3 for 18. After dropping two catches in two balls in the last match, this was a good comeback from the spinner. Harbhajan Singh chipped in too, with the two wickets of AB and M. Ashwin.
