4) Death Bowling options

RCB in its bag has a good set of Death bowling options as well in the form of Tim Southee, Nathan Coulter – Nile and Marcus Stoinis.

Tim Southee

Tim Southee, the Kiwi quick has not been effective in this year’s IPL as of now. But considering his experience and success at the International level, one cannot rule him out. He could be just one performance away. It could be a lull before the storm.  He is definitely one of the best when it comes to death bowling.

Dale Steyn

The South African pacer is known for his top class bowling in the powerplay overs and in death. His return bolstered the bowling attack of the RCB which was struggling.

Marcus Stoinis

Stoinis is a street smart cricketer who does not have too much of pace but really has a good cricketing brain. He can deceive the batsmen with the change of pace and has a very good slow bouncer too. He is a handy bowler especially in the death overs apart from his batting abilities.

Kulwant Khejroliya

RCB also has a left arm fast medium bowler Kulwant Khejroliya who has impressed all while playing for Delhi in the Ranji trophy. He is a decent death bowler and has learned a lot while working with the bowling coach for RCB – Ashish Nehra.

The other Indian pacers Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Navdeep Saini have bowled with pace but they have been predictable in the death overs and hence have gone for a lot of runs. Kulwant could be the pick for the next upcoming matches for RCB.
