Delhi Capitals’ South African import Colin Ingram received the best news possible for a married man, he recently became a father and had to miss DC’s match against SRH on Sunday. Ingram has been in news at the moment ever since his match-winning six against Kolkata Knight Riders left Shikhar Dhawan stranded on 97, three runs short of his maiden T20 and IPL hundred.
Ingram was picked by the Delhi-based franchise during the IPL 2019 auction for INR 6.40 crores, which marked his return to the IPL folds after many years. Ingram had gone Kolpak in 2014, signing a three-year deal with Glamorgan and ending his South Africa career. Ingram had scored a century on ODI debut, when he scored 124 against Zimbabwe, becoming the sixth batsman to perform this feat on debut and the first South African ever to achieve this honour.
