The Rajasthan Royals have been quite impressive at the IPL 2019 auction. They strengthened their bowling lineup by picking Jaydev Unadkat and Varun Aaron at the auction. The side though is yet to fill the middle-order batting slots. They needed a reliable and consistent finisher in there apart from Krishnappa Gowtham.

During the auction, the Rajasthan Royals conducted a poll on Twitter about which unsold player they should pick later on in the event. Yuvraj Singh, Manoj Tiwary and Alex Hales were the options which were put up. Apart from this, the fans also had an opportunity to comment on a player of their choice.

“From the players who are unsold, who do want in the Royals squad? #IPLAuction #JoinTheFamily,” the tweet from Rajasthan Royals read.

Jofra Archer comes up with a surprise reply

While there were a lot of responses from the fans, a surprise reply popped up out of nowhere. It was the English pacer Jofra Archer who came up with his thoughts. He shared the name of his good mate Chris Jordan as a possible option. Jordan is considered to be a T20 specialist and has got the experience of playing in various leagues around the world.

The all-rounder was with the Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier. However, he didn’t get as many opportunities with the team and therefore was put back into the auction pool. Jordan has played 134 T20 games thus far in his career. He scored 3,661 runs and picked up 137 wickets. He is a highly effective bowler at the death.

Yet, he went unsold when his name came up the first time. None of the franchises seemed to be interested in him.
