IPL 2019: Match 10, Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Statistical Preview

The Kolkata Knight Riders kick-started the IPL 2019 in style as the Andre Russell’s power-hitting helped them win their first two matches of the season played at the Eden Gardens. After clinching the two high-scoring affairs, they will move to Feroz Shah Kotla where they would face the Delhi Capitals. The spin trio of KKR could be lethal on what could be a turner in Delhi. The home team defeated the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede before going down to the defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

2 – Both Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav have dismissed Shikhar Dhawan two times apiece in the IPL thus far. However, against Piyush Chawla, Dhawan is yet to be dismissed in the IPL and has scored 67 from 44 balls with eight boundaries.

5 – Number of times Amit Mishra has dismissed Robin Uthappa in the IPL; the joint-most number of dismissals for Robbie against any bowler in the league. Ravichandran Ashwin also got the wicket of Uthappa on five instances. The leg-spinner conceded 84 runs to Uthappa in 72 deliveries by getting hit for seven fours and four sixes.

20 – Piyush Chawla has bagged 20 wickets in the IPL against the Delhi team which are the 3rd most for any player against them. Both Lasith Malinga and Harbhajan Singh have 21 wickets apiece. Sunil Narine also has 17 wickets against Delhi in the league which came in only 13 matches at an average of 18.7.

587 – Uthappa’s tally of 587 runs against the Delhi franchise in the IPL has been exceeded by only three players. He averages 30.89 in the IPL against Delhi Capitals/Delhi Daredevils with help of four fifties.
