The Chennai Super Kings began their title defence with back to back victories over Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. They will now return to their home ground in Chennai where they will be facing the Rajasthan Royals. The inaugural champions of the IPL lost their first two matches of the 2019 season against the Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.
