The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s wait to register their first win of the season continues as the Rajasthan Royals got their first by defeating RCB by a 7-wicket margin. The leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal’s spell played a crucial role in restricting the visitors to 158/4 despite a 41-ball 67 from Parthiv Patel at the top. Jos Buttler’s 43-ball 59 made the 159-run chase easier which the Rajasthan franchise completed on the penultimate ball of the game.

However, his batting average of 22.91 is the 3rd lowest among the 87 players. Shahid Afridi (18.47) and Shakib Al Hasan (21.03) are the only players to score 4000+ T20 runs at an average lesser than Parthiv.
