Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will look to get back to winning ways after a demoralizing loss against Mumbai Indians when they take on high-flying Kings XI Punjab at home on Saturday. What has further caused problems for the Super Kings is the lack of fast-bowlers. The Super Kings have no frontline overseas pacer in the team after losing Lungi Ngidi and David Willey. The likes of Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar and Mohit Sharma are there but the pace-bowling department is looking depleted. Moreover, Super Kings have also lost their allrounder Dwayne Bravo for a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury. With such a depleted bowling attack, the Super Kings will have to play out of their skin to get the better of in-form Kings XI.

Kings XI are entering this game after a thrilling 14-run win over Delhi Capitals. Delhi were 144 for 3 in pursuit of 167 when Sam Curran picked up a sensational hat-trick and helped his side pick up the remaining seven wickets for just 8 runs to stun Delhi. With momentum in their side, Kings XI will be looking to make the most of it.

According to AccuWeather, the temperature will be around 30 degree celsius when the teams fight it out in the hot and humid conditions of Chennai.
