The Kolkata Knight Riders return home to face the Delhi Capitals to whom they lost in the Super Over earlier this season. KKR are coming from a defeat against the Chennai Super Kings as their batting collapsed on a turning track at Chepauk. On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals lacked consistency after early wins. Their middle-order is capable of losing them games out of nowhere as seen against the Kings XI. Even during their victory against RCB, Delhi lost three wickets for one run when they needed five runs to win.

149 – Amit Mishra needs one more wicket to become the first Indian to complete 150 wickets in the IPL. Overall, only Lasith Malinga (157) has picked up more wickets in the IPL than Mishra.
Trent Boult (99) and Andre Russell (49) also need one wicket for completing 100 T20 wickets and 50 IPL wickets respectively.
