Mumbai Indians’ 3-match winning streak has been halted by the Rajasthan Royals who chased down 188 at the Wankhede. The opening pair of Quinton de Kock (81) and Rohit Sharma (47) added 96 for the first wicket in 10.5 overs but MI scored at only six an over between 11th and 17th over. Hardik Pandya’s 11-ball 28* took the hosts to 187/5. Jos Buttler struck 89 off 43 balls with seven fours and seven sixes including a 28-run over against Alzarri Joseph in the chase. Despite the required rate was only six after Buttler’s dismissal, Rajasthan struggled but eventually finished the chase losing six wickets.

Royals defeat Indians again:
3 – The Rajasthan Royals have defeated Mumbai Indians for the 3rd time in three matches since their readmission to the league in 2018. RR got all the three wins while chasing. This is the first time they won three in a row against MI.
A big chase against MI:
188 – The 188-run chase by the Rajasthan Royals is the 2nd highest successful chase by any team in the IPL against the Mumbai Indians. The Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) successfully chased 195 in the previous edition also during a day game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
A milestone match for Mumbai Indians and Rohit:
200 – This game against RR is the 200th match for the Mumbai Indians in the Twenty20 format. They are the first team to feature in 200 T20s surpassing Somerset’s tally of 199 appearances. Interestingly, this game was Rohit Sharma’s 100th Twenty20 as captain of the MI team.

150 – With the wicket of Ishan Kishan, the left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat completed 150 wickets in the Twenty20 cricket. He is the 6th Indian pacer and overall the 12th player from India to bag 150 wickets in the Twenty20 format.
Rohit @ 500 vs RR:
527 – Rohit Sharma now has 527 runs in the Twenty20 format against the Rajasthan Royals. Only Suresh Raina (638) and AB de Villiers (571) have scored more than 500 runs in all T20s against the Rajasthan franchise.
