IPL 2019 – Match 35: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – RCB Predicted Playing XI
RCB has got a great news before they head into their next game.
Now the players the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) can play their cricket with a lot more freedom. They can be the party spoilers to many teams as they progress forward in the tournament. The Bengaluru team has already had a heartbreaking loss in the previous high scoring encounter against KKR.
RCB will have some important changes to be made to their eleven for the upcoming encounter. They will be looking to strengthen the bowling resources so that they can give a tough competition to the opposition. From here on, RCB will be hoping for a change in fortunes.
Here is the Predicted Playing XI for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):
Openers (Parthiv Patel (wk), Virat Kohli (c))
Parthiv Patel’s role has been quite clear and he is sticking to it at the moment. He is tasked to go after the bowlers in the powerplay and get the team off to a good start. The wicket-keeper batsman is expected to stick to the same role in the upcoming match as well. The Eden Gardens track, where the ball comes onto the bat nicely, should be enjoyable for both him and his partner Virat Kohli.
The RCB skipper got out early in the last game and has got some catching up to do. Kohli had a great outing the last time he played the same opposition. He scored 84 runs off 49 balls in that encounter and must repeat something of similar sorts. With the opposition not having the best of bowling lineups, he will surely fancy his chances.
Middle Order (AB de Villiers, Akshdeep Nath)
AB de Villiers has been in great form of late. The South African cricketer has notched up back-to-back fifties in the last two encounters and has strengthed the RCB middle order a great deal. Furthermore, his recent form eases the pressure off the batsmen coming after him and his team will hope for similar performances from the South African yet again.
It is quite surprising to see RCB continue with Akshdeep Nath over someone like Washington Sundar despite the former not getting many chances. However, the skipper and the management seem to have faith in his abilities. Thus, they are likely to continue with his in this match as well.
All Rounders (Marcus Stoinis, Moeen Ali)
Marcus Stoinis didn’t have a great outing against the Mumbai Indians. The Australian bagged a duck as he was outfoxed by Lasith Malinga. Since RCB has got enough bowling options, he didn’t have much role to fulfil with the ball either. However, he adds great stability to the team and will continue in the eleven.
Moeen Ali has proved his worth in the team with his performance in the last couple of games. He registered an important fifty against Mumbai Indians and has also done really well with the ball. The English cricketer has provided the captain with enough belief now that he can bowl all his four overs in the match.
Bowlers (Pawan Negi, Dale Steyn, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini)
The biggest news in the bowling line-up is the return of Dale Steyn to RCB after several years. The South African has arrived in India and will surely play the next match. He has done well for his national team in recent times. The RCB bowling is expected to become much better now with his arrival. He will either replace Umesh Yadav or Mohammed Siraj.
But Virat backs Siraj and thus Umesh might sit out. Pawan Negi, despite the terrible last over, will continue in the team. He will have Yuzvendra Chahal partnering him in the spin department. Navdeep Saini will be the other pacer in the eleven.
