Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab will be the last set of teams to take the field in the IPL 2019 as they clash on Monday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The Kings XI got off to a great start in the previous edition but won only one of their last eight games to get knocked out in the league phase. The Royals, on the other hand, sneaked into the playoffs but lost in the eliminator. The two meetings between these teams in the previous edition were won by the home teams. Jos Buttler and KL Rahul scored fifties in both games for RR and KXIP respectively.

5-0 – Rajasthan Royals have won all the five IPL matches they played against the Kings XI Punjab at their home ground – the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
2 – Andrew Tye has dismissed both Ben Stokes and Rahul Tripathi on two occasions in the IPL; the joint-most he has dismissed any player. Stokes faced six deliveries scoring five runs while Tripathi scored three runs from five balls against Tye.
3 – Number of times Dhawal Kulkarni has dismissed Chris Gayle in the IPL; bowled on all three instances. Harbhajan Singh (2) is the only other player to dismiss Gayle “bowled” more than once in the IPL. The Caribbean batsman scored only 35 runs from 31 deliveries he faced from Kulkarni in the IPL with six fours and a maximum.
8.33 – Ajinkya Rahane’s batting average in the IPL against Ravichandran Ashwin. Rahane scored only 25 from 26 balls against Ashwin this league and got out on three instances to the off-spinner.
Sanju Samson scored 27 runs off 17 balls while Jos Buttler scored 23 from 20 deliveries against Ashwin in the IPL without getting dismissed.
26.45 – Chris Gayle averages a lowly 26.45 against the Rajasthan Royals. He scored 291 runs from 13 innings in the IPL against the Royals with only one fifty.
48.6 – Jos Buttler’s batting average in the IPL against the Kings XI Punjab. The England keeper-batsman scored 243 runs from five IPL innings against KXIP with help of three fifties.
179* – KL Rahul scored 179 runs across two innings in the 2018 IPL against the Royals. He scored 84* and 95* while batting second in the consecutive matches played against RR in the previous edition.
204 – Rahul’s batting strike-rate against Jofra Archer in the two meetings during the previous edition. Rahul scored 51 from only 25 deliveries he faced from Archer by hitting four fours and three sixes without getting dismissed. No other batsman has scored even 25 runs off Jofra in the IPL.
242.86 – Chris Gayle has a strike-rate of 242.86 against Jaydev Unadkat in the IPL. Gayle smashed 34 runs from 14 deliveries against Unadkat with two fours and three sixes. Rahul also scored 46 runs off 27 balls he faced from Unadkat without getting out in the IPL.
3994 – Gayle needs six more runs to become only the 2nd overseas player to aggregate 4000 runs in the IPL. David Warner is the first foreigner to achieve this milestone as he completed 4000 IPL runs back in 2017.
