High-flying Delhi Capitals (DC) will be looking to continue their fine start to the season when they lock horns against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Both the teams are entering the contest on the back of thumping wins in their respective season-openers.

Chennai Super Kings started their season with a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. The reigning IPL champions had bowled out the Virat Kohli-led side for just 70. Harbhajan Singh and Imran Tahir had run riot with the spinning deliveries as they picked up 3 wickets each while collectively conceding just 29 runs off the 8 overs they bowled.

The score was never going to challenge the formidable batting lineup of the Super Kings. And although there were some tense moments on the tough pitch, the Super Kings went on to chase down the total in the 18th over. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, began their season with a very impressive 37-run win over three-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians.

Asked to bat first, the new-look Delhi side piled up 213 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs, thanks to a whirlwind fifty from Rishabh Pant. In reply, the hosts were all out for 176 to suffer their third consecutive loss against Delhi. With both Delhi and Super Kings in form at the moment, the upcoming game promises to be a thrilling affair.

As far as the stats are concerned, Super Kings will be the firm favourites to win the contest. Both the teams have played 18 times against each other and the Super Kings have won 12 of them.  In the last season both the teams had won one game each against each other.

According to AccuWeather, the temperature will hover between 22 to 26-degree Celsius. As the game will wear on, the temperature will fall, giving the players and the fans some much-needed comfort. There is no prediction of rain which means one can expect a cracking game of cricket without any interruption.
