Mumbai Indians pulled off a thriller against the RCB and will now travel to Mohali to face the Kings XI Punjab. After a big defeat against the Delhi Capitals, the win against RCB was a much-needed one for the 3-time champions. The Kings XI, on the other hand, been marred with controversies in the two matches they played. They defeated the Rajasthan Royals in the opening game after mankading Jos Buttler. In the 2nd game, Andre Russell was given 2nd chance as KXIP had only three fielders inside the circle instead of four when he was cleaned up.

4 – Mumbai Indians won all the four matches they played at the PCA Stadium in Mohali since the start of 2012. Kings XI Punjab won the first three meetings with the MI until 2011 played at this venue.
7-3 – Mumbai Indians won seven of their previous ten IPL matches against the Kings XI played since the start of 2014. In the first six editions, MI won only five of the 12 matches they played against KXIP.

Gayle has 537 runs from 15 innings against MI with five fifties at an average of 41.3. Rahul, on the other hand, has an average of 45 against Mumbai as he scored 315 runs from 8 IPL innings with two fifties.
73 – Rohit Sharma’s batting average in the IPL against Ravichandran Ashwin. The MI skipper scored 73 from 87 balls he faced in the IPL against Ashwin and has been dismissed once.
73.44 – Chris Gayle has a strike-rate of 73.44 in the IPL against Lasith Malinga. The universe boss has scored only 47 runs from 64 balls he faced from Malinga that includes 38 dot balls. Gayle hit six fours in the league against Malinga and got out once.
Gayle also has a strike-rate of only 90 against Jasprit Bumrah in the IPL. Gayle scored 27 from 30 deliveries with three boundaries but never got out to the Indian speedster in the IPL thus far.
558 – Rohit Sharma has scored 558 runs from 21 IPL innings against the Kings XI at an average of 32.82. He scored five fifties against KXIP in the IPL including a best score of 79*.
1014 – Mayank Agarwal completed 1000 runs in the IPL during the previous game. His batting average of 17.48 is the lowest among the players with 1000+ runs in the IPL. Agarwal took 61 innings for this milestone; the 2nd highest number of innings needed for any player.
