3. Sarfaraz Khan (Kings XI Punjab)
Just a year ago, Sarfaraz Khan was retained by the Royal Challengers alongside Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. After a disappointing 2018 edition, where he barely got a chance to prove his worth, Sarfaraz was sent back to the auction and as it turned out, he commanded just Rs. 25 Lakh to join the Kings XI Punjab.
For a cricketer who earned over Rs. 4 Crore just a season ago, this is a drastic fall. But this will ease some pressure off the youngster as there’s no doubting his tremendous talent. If he can nourish himself under new coach Mike Hesson, he will be a big prospect in the coming few years.
