The Mumbai Indians (MI) were struck with a blow on Tuesday when their skipper Rohit Sharma pulled a muscle during the training session. He was attended by the physio Nitin Patel soon and was seen limping towards the dressing room. He also didn’t return back to the nets which increased the worries among the fans. Moreover, he is an important member of the Indian team in the World Cup and they can’t afford even a niggle to such a key player.
There have also been speculations about the possibility of Rohit missing the upcoming game against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). However, it seems that the MI captain is absolutely fine if the Mumbai Indians’ latest cryptic tweet is to be believed. The official Twitter handle posted a special GIF with Rohit gesturing his fans to relax and not to worry much about him.
Though there is no official update about his fitness, even this should relieve the MI and especially the Indian fans as one of their best players is absolutely fine.
Here’s the tweet:

Important game against KXIP
If Rohit Sharma is fit for the clash against the KXIP then it is a huge boost for the home side who will be looking to avenge their previous defeat. Earlier in the season, the two teams met in Mohali and the Ravi Ashwin-led side easily got over the line in the high-scoring chase with eight wickets in hand.
As of now, Punjab has played six matches and have eight points to their name. They are currently at the third position in the points table and another win will take them to the second place only behind CSK. Mumbai, on the other hand, started slowly but have peaked at the perfect time. They have defeated CSK and SRH in their previous two matches and will be confident to go past Punjab as well.
