IPL 2019: Off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman names his favourite cricketer

Back in 2017, Mujeeb Ur Rahman became the first international cricketer from the 21st century and has carved himself a reputation as one of the most lethal spinners currently doing the rounds. The youngster not only picks up wickets but also makes sure that batsmen aren’t able to score many runs off his bowling. He had a stupendous campaign for the Afghanistan U19 in the World Cup last year.

He was thereafter picked up by the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to play in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Though his team couldn’t progress to the playoffs, Mujeeb was very impressive. This season, he hasn’t had the best of times though and he didn’t play in two of the first four encounters. In those games, he has picked up a couple of wickets at a rather expensive economy rate of 8.37.

His best figures of 2/31 came against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In the match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, he went wicketless. Recently, he was interviewed by Kings XI batsman Mayank Agarwal, who has played a few jaw-dropping knocks.

During the chat, Mujeeb talked about his Afghanistan teammates, the variations he possesses, the overs he prefers to bowl during the innings and many others. The talented cricketer also named his favourite cricket. Furthermore, he also tried his hand in speaking Punjabi.
