The Hyderabad based franchise is one of the consistent teams in IPL history and they have shown it again by winning 3 out of 5 games. Their top-order has been doingthe bulk of the scoring and the middle-order players have not been tested enough. The spin department has been ruled by the Afghan duo, and the fast bowlers have also done justice to their roles but still, SRH needs to tinker with their fast bowling line-up, as it is one-dimensional and that’s where Billy Stanlake can provide the edge to the team.

He was impressive in his IPL debut season where he picked up 4 wickets in 5 matches but missed the rest of the season due to a fractured finger. The current SRH pace battery lacks pace and Billy Stanlake can fill that void. The Australian quicky, with his raw pace, can trouble the batsman even on good tracks. His height is an added advantage as he can generate uncomfortable bounce on slow tracks.

Stanlake is a wicket-taking bowler and his numbers of 62 scalps in 50 T20s prove it. In the recently concluded BBL season, the speedster took 11 wickets in 11 matches with a strike rate of 21.2 for the Adelaide Strikers.

IPL has transformed the lives of many international and domestic players. It is difficult for the teams to provide chances to each and every individual but the franchise should always try out some benched players as they are proven match-winners in their own rights.
