Pravin Tambe
Back in 2013, Pravin Tambe made his IPL debut at the age of 41, representing Rajasthan Royals (RR). In the same year, he became the leading wicket-taker in the Champions League T20. Prior to that, he hadn’t even played first-class cricket.
From there on, Tambe has plied his trade in 33 games in the IPL, picking up 28 wickets. But it’s pertinent to note that he hasn’t played in the IPL since 2016. In fact, he hasn’t played T20 cricket since February 2017. Tambe turned 48 last October and registered himself in the 2020 auction a base price of INR 20 lakhs.
The Knight Riders roped him in at his base price itself. Moreover, Tambe’s participation for the next season has also come under the clouds. It’s because in November 2018, the veteran plied his trade for the Sindhis in the T10 League.
