Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab, the two teams at the bottom of the table, will look to reverse their fortunes and get two crucial points on the table. The Mohali-based franchise will be disappointed that they have only one win from four games.

They have played good cricket and had it not been a for a few moments of madness against Delhi and Rajasthan, they wouldn’t have been in this position. But now that they are, they should take heart from the fact that a lot of their players are in good form, and should have the confidence to turn things around. CSK, on the other hand, will be lacking that confidence.

Their team seems incoherent, and injuries haven’t helped their cause. They have a lot of issues to resolve. They will be happy that they were able to put their best XI on the park in the last game, and at least on paper their team seems balanced now. They will hope the ability on paper can transform into results on the ground.

Here are 3 players you must pick for KXIP vs CSK game:

1. K.L Rahul (10.5 credits)

The talented skipper of KXIP, K.L Rahul, has had a good start to this season’s IPL. In 4 innings, he already has a massive 100 along with a fitty, aggregating 239 runs, and is currently the Orange Cap holder.

After failing in the last game against MI, he will look to make up against CSK. The numbers are with Rahul too. He has 199 runs in four innings in Dubai. He will back himself to score a big score against CSK’s bowling line up which hasn’t looked too threatening.

2. Faf du Plessis (9.5 credits)

The only positive for CSK’s abysmal batting till now has been been Faf du Plessis. With 195 runs from four games, and two 50s, Faf has looked determined throughout, to bat long and give some stability to the line up.

Opening the innings will give Faf a chance to be more aggressive upfront. Faf is a player who has always stood up and taken responsibility, and in times of crisis and we can expect him to do that once again.

3. Mohammed Shami (9 credits)

Mohammed Shami has bowled with a lot of heart and intent this IPL. While he didn’t have a praiseworthy T20 or IPL record prior to this season , his pace and accuracy has gotten him eight wickets from four games this year.

The Bengal fast bowler will look to keep his hot form going, especially against an under-fire top order of CSK which has failed to get going against quality pace.
