IPL 2020: 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for KXIP vs CSK game
Confused over which player to leave out from your Fantasy team? Have a look.
Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings, both with one win in four games, will look to make a comeback in this game. Kings XI Punjab, despite having a good team, have relied on their opening partnership for majority of their runs.
They have a number of players who haven’t done much. They seem to be lacking a certain balance in the Playing XI. They will perhaps look to add a bit more ammunition in their bowling line up too by making some strategic changes to their XI.
Chennai Super Kings, a team which has qualified for Playoffs for 10 seasons, look down and out in this one. There is a serious lack of firepower in their Playing XI and they seem to get into rut in the middle overs.
Their bowling too hasn’t been up to the mark. In spite of getting a few vital players back into their XI in the last game, they failed to cross the line. With a number of misfiring players in this game, here are 3 you should definitely look to exclude.
Here are 3 players who could be excluded from your Dream11 Fantasy team for KXIP vs CSK game:
1. Glenn Maxwell (9 credits)
Glenn Maxwell’s performance in the IPL has been a mystery nobody has been able to solve. Despite going for big bucks year after year, Maxwell continues to be an abject disappointment. Since his heroics in 2014, he hasn’t done much of note, and even this season has a mere 30 runs in 4 games.
He has been anything but in form and has flattered to deceive. Add to that he has just 12 runs in three innings in Dubai. With numbers and form both not favoring Maxwell, it will be best to keep him out in this game.
2. Shane Watson (9 credits)
Another Aussie all-rounder, Shane Watson has struggled to get going this season. He has failed in four consecutive games and has just scored 52 runs. He has looked extremely uncomfortable against quality pace bowling, and with the likes of Mohammed Shami and Sheldon Cottrell in the opposition, it won’t be easy for him once again. This game has a number of in form of top-order batsmen, hence it would be better to avoid going for the out of sorts Watson.
3. MS Dhoni (9.5 credits)
Everyone was looking forward to watch Dhoni bat in this year’s IPL. But with the long gap he has had, he looks visibly rusty. He has 91 runs in 3 innings at a good strike rate and has been dismissed only once.
But everyone watching the matches will testify that he has not been able to rotate the strike well, neither hit the big shots against quality bowlers. And his numbers are certainly inflated by the shots played after the match was out of reach. While Dhoni’s ability remains unquestioned, age has definitely caught up with him and it would be better to leave him out from your team.
