IPL 2020: 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for the DC vs RR game
You can use your credits in a better way by dropping these three players from your Dream11 Fantasy team for DC vs RR game.
Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals will meet in their return fixture, with both teams looking to get the better of the other. Delhi Capitals have had an extremely good IPL and will look to continue their marauding run. While they looked a complete team, an injury to Rishabh Pant, slightly made things tough for them. With Ajinkya Rahane and Alex Carey coming in for Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, DC’s batting looks a lot less intimidating. The loss in the last game has halted their momentum slightly, and it will be important for Delhi to quickly turn it around.
Rajasthan, on the other hand, have experimented a lot in this IPL. They have tried a number of batsmen, at different positions in the batting line-up, and had it not been for youngster’s heroics in the last game, they would have had 5 losses in 7 games. Their bowlers did a decent job in the last game, but someone like Shreyas Gopal, who was their leading wicket taker last year, is yet to come to the party. They are facing a formidable team, and will have to play out of their skins to beat Delhi.
Here are 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for DC vs RR game:
1. Shikhar Dhawan (9 credits)
Shikhar Dhawan has had a decent IPL. He has 201 runs in 7 games and got his first 50 of the tournament in the last game against MI. But he is still quite far away from his best. He has played at a strike rate of just 125 and hasn’t looked in much rhythm. He is going to be up against a bowling line up which likes to play around with variations, and considering Dhawan’s inability to get a move on in this IPL, he is likely to struggle and should be kept out of the team.
2. Prithvi Shaw (9 credits)
With 202 runs in 7 games, Shaw’s numbers might seem similar to that of Dhawan, but has done a much better job than him. He has gone about his business at a SR of 150 and scored two 50s. However, right through this year’s IPL, and even in the last couple of years, he has shown a tendency of struggling against quality pacers, especially while facing shorter deliveries. Jofra Archer is likely to challenge him with bouncers. He got him dismissed earlier in the season as well. With such an obvious danger to Shaw, it would be better to exclude him.
3. Sanju Samson(9.5 credits)
After starting this year’s IPL with a bang, Samson has been in dismal form in the last few games. His scores read 8, 4, 0, 5 and 26 in the last 5 games. He has struggled immensely, and even after getting a start in the last game, he gave it away. He seems to have lost all the confidence he gained in the first two games, and against a disciplined and threatening Delhi bowling line up, he is going to find it very difficult to get that confidence back. He is a class player, but keeping his form in mind, it will be better to keep him out.
