IPL 2020: 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for the KKR vs CSK game
Have you picked your Dream11 team for the match?
Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are set to battle it out in a game which is extremely crucial for both the teams. The Super Kings got off to a characteristically bad start in the IPL, losing three of their first four games. But they kept faith in their players, hoping for them to come good.
The backing did pay dividends as they won their match against Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets. Despite the thumping win, CSK would want to improve upon certain areas, which would include powerplay bowling and especially their fielding. KKR have blown hot and cold this season. They have shown glimpses of brilliance and even committed school-boy errors.
They seem to be toying around a bit too much with their playing XI. Due to a good squad, they have plenty of options to explore, but that has caused them even more confusion. Their biggest names are yet to fire and they will be hoping, in this game, against a rejuvenated CSK, all their plans fall into place.
To help you pick you Dream11 team, here are 3 players you can exclude for the KKR vs CSK game:
1.Sunil Narine (9 credits)
One of the biggest reasons KKR haven’t done as well as was expected of them, is Sunil Narine’s lack of form. He has picked up just two wickets with the ball in four games and scored a mere 27 runs. His batting has, time and time again, been exposed by the short ball.
He seems to be out of touch and KKR’s insistence of opening with him has added extra pressure on him. On the bowling front, he seems to have lost the magic and has become too predictable for the batsmen.
CSK also have only right-handed batsmen in the top six, and while MSD’s record against him isn’t great, other batsmen should be able to play him with relative ease. Hence, it would be better to keep the out-of-form Narine out of your team.
2.Ravindra Jadeja (9 credits)
Ravindra Jadeja, a player who was supposed to be the impact player this year for CSK, hasn’t lived up to his reputation. He has managed to pick just three wickets in five games and has been expensive as well, going at 9.55 runs per over.
The opposition might make this game a tough one for Jadeja. Not only does KKR have three left-handed batsmen in their top six, their star batsman, Shubman Gill, has never got out to left arm spin in IPL.
His batting has been decent and he even scored a half-century in the last game, but with several quality all-rounders in this game, Jadeja can be kept out.
3. MS Dhoni (9.5 credits)
If you go by numbers, MSD has had a decent IPL this year, with 91 runs in four innings and a strike rate of 135. However, a closer look at the scorecards will reveal, Dhoni has struggled to get going this year.
He has failed to get a move on initially, and by the time he has warmed up, it has been too late. It is also important to note, that MS has been coming to bat at numbers six and seven.
So, from a fantasy perspective, it may also be highly possible, he may not come to bat at all in the innings. Hence keeping these points in mind, you can afford to keep Dhoni out of your team for this game.
