IPL 2020: 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for the KXIP vs MI game
We have given you three options to be excluded from your Fantasy team for Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians game.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in a crucial game for both the teams. Mumbai Indians has played well till now but their batting and bowling have fired together in only one game. While their batsmen have done a decent job, they will be expecting a better show from the bowlers who conceded more than 200 in the last game, and also the Pandya brothers, who are yet to do anything of substance in this year’s IPL.
Punjab too have looked good but have just 1 win in 3 games. While their top order has performed well, their middle order, especially the Indian batsmen, are yet to be tested. Their bowling has been good in patches but after last match’s demolition by Rajasthan, they might look to add a bit more firepower as well. With a lot to play for, both teams will look to play their best 11.
Here are 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 Fantasy team for KXIP vs MI game:
1. Quinton de Kock (9.5 credits)
After having looked good in the season’s first encounter, De Kock has flattered to deceive. With 48 runs in 3 innings, he has had a poor start to the season. He hasn’t looked very comfortable against pace and spin alike and has struggled to get a move on. With a number of potent keepers and top-order batsmen already being present for this game, it would be better to opt for someone else.
2. Krunal Pandya (8.5 credits)
One player who has been a major source of disappointment for Mumbai Indians is Krunal Pandya. Pandya hasn’t been penetrative at all as a bowler and has picked just 1 wicket in 3 games he has played. He hasn’t faced many balls so not much can be said about his batting.
Mumbai have barely benefited from his services. Pandya also has very poor numbers against KXIP as a bowler, with just 3 wickets in 21 overs prior to this game. With Krunal not adding much value yet, it will be better to leave him out.
3. Glenn Maxwell (9 credits)
Much was expected of Glenn Maxwell coming into this season. His exceptional record in UAE from the 2014 season was something KXIP was hopeful he would replicate. However, he hasn’t looked a bit like that aggressive Maxwell.
While he has played only 19 balls this season, he has been able to manage just 19 runs which is very uncharacteristic. He hasn’t looked to be in any kind of rhythm and is badly lacking form. Against a strong bowling line up, he may struggle again. Hence he can be excluded from your team.
