One of the most attractive names in this auction, a lot of people are wondering as to who will win the bidding war to win the services of Glenn Maxwell. As it stands, the Australian all-rounder is one of the most needed players to fill in a couple of huge voids that are existing in the side.

Maxwell’s presence will definitely ease the pressure off AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli in the batting department. It is important for Mike Hesson and the think-tank to look for options who can ease the burden off these two individuals, who together accounted for more than 40% of the runs scored by RCB in the last four seasons.

Maxwell earlier this year scored his third T20I century against India at the Chinnaswamy and is looking in great touch, despite taking a small sabbatical from the game. If he can be in full-flow, he will begin winning matches on his own and that could make this franchise a different force to deal with.
