Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra is well known for putting forth his expert opinions on various matters of cricket. Recently he has chosen four best overseas players who can get placed in playing XI of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The great commentator came up with all his opinions while responding to a user’s questions in a video shared on his Facebook page.

The former cricketer opined that Aaron Finch, AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali and Chris Morris would be his perfect pick for the overseas players in the Bangalore lot. He was asked whether RCB should go for Finch or with both Ali and Morris seeing bowling records of the team in the past. In the same light, Chopra said that he would go with all three of them including, classy De Villiers.

“I feel you can play all three. You can play Finch as an opener, AB de Villiers as a batsman, Moeen Ali and Chris Morris. These will be my four overseas players in the RCB team I would like to make.”

The 42-year-old stated that the franchise has a decent bowling attack with Mooen Ali, Chahal, and Washington Sundar as spinners while Navdeep Saini and Umesh Yadav leading the pace attack.

Batting order of RCB as per Aakash Chopra

Talking further on the probable batting order of RCB, Chopra stated Aaron Finch should be the first choice along with either Parthiv Patel or Devdutt Padikkal.

“If you are an RCB fan, I would say that you play Aaron Finch in all the matches and open with him. There you can go for either Parthiv or Devdutt Padikkal as the opener along with Finch, that is something you may have to decide.”

The former KKR player believes that even batting lineup is sorted for RCB and looks in good shape with likes of Kohli, De Villiers, Ali, Shivam Dube, and then Morris.

“Virat Kohli at 3, AB de Villiers at 4, and Moeen Ali at 5. It sounds very good. At No.6, you will have Shivam Dube, and then you have Chris Morris. So their batting is also looking good. I am feeling that this team is good this year and that they would be doing well,” the commentator concluded.
